Historic Coventry Village
Take a step back in time by visiting the Historic Coventry Village, located along Main Street. There are antique shops, restaurants, a public library, and post office lining the winding two-lane road, which is one of the main thoroughfares in Coventry.
Located in the Historic Coventry Village, Bidwell Tavern is an established English-style pub that has been a local landmark since 1822. It has earned numerous awards from local publications, including "Best Restaurants in Connecticut: Best Pub." The tavern was also featured in the Hartford Courant and UCONN's The Daily Campus.
Also known as Coventry Lake, this 373-acre body of water features a beach, playground, picnic facilities, community center, and even a band shell for concerts during the summer! The state operates and maintains a boat launch on the lake, as well.
Nathan Hale Monument
This obelisk is located in Coventry and pays homage to the Revolutionary War hero Nathan Hale, who was born in this area. Nathan Hale's home, which was built in the 1740s, has been turned into a museum that offers seasonal tours and educational programs.
