Brooklyn at a Glance
Established in 1786, Brooklyn is a community that is rich in local and national history. In fact, America's longest continually running agricultural fair is the Brooklyn Fair, which takes place right here in town every summer!
Brooklyn residents have access to several schools in the area, including Brooklyn Schools, Killingly Schools, Pomfret School, Woodstock Academy, Norwich Free Academy, and Griswold Public Schools.
The Brooklyn Historical Society operates the local history museum, which includes the Daniel Putnam Tyler Law Office. Every year, the historical society hosts four programs and several special events.
