Why Work With HST?

Happy New Year to you. I felt that I needed to write to you to let you know how satisfied I was with a couple of your co-workers. Jeanne Crum was my realtor, from a referral that I received. My father passed away in January 2023 and I had the task of selling his house. My parents had the house built in 1971, so my task was overwhelming, needless to say. 

Once I had the home 80% cleaned out and ready to show, I contacted Jeanne in August. It was difficult for me emotionally to sell this home that I grew up in. Jeanne was very compassionate and a strong support system for me, in the beginning and throughout the process.  Steve Galinat, assisted Jeanne with the open house.  We made a plan to show the house in late August and it was sold within a week. However, the inspection came up with some issues and the buyer backed out.

It happened that Steve had a young couple that he was trying to find a home for, and brought them to see the house. They fell in love with it and made an offer. It ended up being a 100% financed U.S. Government loan. The inspection came up with a list of failures and so did the lender. Honestly, it became a semi nightmare for me, as well as Jeanne and Steve.

I felt that I needed to give this young couple a chance to get the home that they were so excited for. In order to do that, Jeanne and Steve had their work cut out for them as they provided me with contractors. I live in Boston, so I didn't have clue on who to get or how to proceed. So, the contractors were in place and both Steve and Jeanne helped making sure that everything happened, for both the buyers and myself.

After every task was completed, to my understanding, Steve took photos of the completed work and sent them to the U.S. lenders, to keep that process moving forward for the buyers. We finally were able to close December 12,2023.

I can't stress to you enough on how Jeanne was so incredibly helpful to me and a rock for me. She knew that I couldn't just let this home go to anyone because of my emotional attachment and her and Steve were able to find the PERFECT buyers for me to let the house go. It was incredibly expensive for me to persevere, but in the end, it was worth it for me to do so, as the couple are EXTREMELY grateful for me giving them the chance. 

I would like to say with great appreciation, for your team members that not only sell homes, but have the commitment and dedication to have the buyers and sellers at ease. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Steve is the best realtor we could’ve asked for - he went above and beyond what I understand is normal. We had a lot of issues that came up in the home inspection phase that all needed to be fixed for our loan to work. Steve organized and arranged for all the contractors to be there and get the work done in time for closing. Thank you Steve! We are now in our home and loving it because of you!!!
