2022 was an exciting and prosperous year at HST. We worked, we collaborated, we learned, we worked some more. 2021 was a different year: we masked, we gloved, we cleaned, we Zoomed, we learned, and we worked a lot sometimes with stressed clients and stressed agents. In 2022, as the COVID pandemic has slowly lessened its stranglehold on all things once familiar and comfortable, we were able to relax and let our masks down on occasion and get back to some normalcy communicating with buyers and sellers.
Gone are many of the buyers from New York and other more populated areas of the country, looking for a mid-century modern, an artists retreat, or prepper hideout in our beautiful rural towns or parents/partners looking for more square footage to accommodate the simultaneous home schooling, remote work, and the new rescue dog. Gone too, with rare exceptions, are the new listings with fifteen offers in one day $30K over asking price. We all have adjustments to make on the horizon. For some of us, 2022 may have been just the beginning of that new reality.
We are planning to attack 2023 much in the same way we always do. Education, training, brainstorming, marketing, collaborating and using our team philosophy and approach to assist all clients of HST in finding homes and selling homes for the best price and terms. In other words, we are not lowering the bar or our expectations for 2023. Please feel free to hold us to it!
