Why Work With HST?

Frankly Speaking... Selling your home can be a scary thing, espcially in this market. But if you come to the point where selling is imminent, I strongly suggest that you use Sue Esposito to represent you in this life-changing event.

I'm moving from the UK to Connecticut, to take up a position at UConn, and after emailing a pretty routine enquiry to HST, started talking more with Brian McCarthy about our needs (deciding between buying a house, or buying land and building) and how to proceed. Brian is incredibly proactive (when I first emailed that enquiry, he googled me to find out some background about me) and the ongoing process of finding somewhere appropriate has been both painless and enjoyable. He has what seems like endless patience, and excellent advice (I have, to be honest, 'validated' that advice by talking to others I know at UConn). When we visited, he drove us around a ton of properties, and is now really well 'calibrated' to what we're looking for. I cannot recommend him enough. He's made the whole experience of moving country considerably less daunting. He has access to all the properties that I can see on other websites, as well as an ear to the ground and a list of all sorts of useful contacts. Having talked with some other Realtors, as well as with friends and future colleagues at UConn, I feel really lucky to be working with Brian. I would recommend using him and his team to anyone who is moving to UConn (or the surrounding area).

My husband and I had a great experience with Jean. We lived in our home that we sold for 37 years. Jean was so easy to work with answering all our concerns and questions. Explaining the process and had all the paperwork ready when she needed us to sign anything. Never had to wait very long on getting answers for us. You have a ace of a realtor on your team! I’ve known Katie for many years so picking her as my agent was easy.  I know I could trust her opinion.  Katie was very attentive to what we were looking for in a house.  At the time I was living out of state and it was during the COVID-19 she made it possible for me to see some houses with a very limited schedule, ultimately finding the perfect house in which we closed on within 30 days.  She guided me through the phases of buying a home.  She recommended a fantastic broker, lawyer, and inspection company.  I was very impressed with all of them.
