Like many others, we had to skip our annual agent recognition event this year. In the past we have visited different venues for a welcome one-day respite from the stress of a full-time sales career including an escape room, axe throwing, bowling and a painting class. All these outings were great fun and revealed some surprising strengths and weaknesses and other insights into each other outside of the office. Had we been able to celebrate 2020 it would have been one for the books as most of us had a stellar year.

The pandemic boom pushed prices high and inventory low for Eastern CT. Mention the words mid-century modern and you were likely to be inundated by NYC buyers looking for less people and more space for artistic pursuits and remote working. Move up buyers were seeking homes with more space to accommodate home schooling, remote learning and remote working. First time buyers crushed it this year, with rental prices soaring and interest rates in a downward trajectory it was a no-brainer for many.

At Home Selling Team we sold 289 properties last year, a 28% increase over 2019. This success was a direct result of our collaboration as a team in brainstorming how to help our buyer clients win bidding wars, recommendations to our seller clients on repairs, updates, staging and professional photography and our premarketing efforts on our Coming Soon website page.
If you are considering selling this year, consider hiring us! No hassle, no obligation interviews available with any agent. Just contact us and we will make whatever arrangements you are comfortable with. While you’re here check out our client reviews.
